Carmooch Privacy Policy

1.0 Introduction

Carmooch does collect information you provide on sign up, through posts such as fuel stops, service intervals etc and also browsing habits. Any of your personal information obtained via a social network connection (e.g. Facebook) will remain private along with information provided by you unless you have specified otherwise. Carmooch retains the rights to use this information for aggregated demographical purposes but will never disclose individual personal information to any third party without obtaining consent from the user first.

2.0 Data

Carmooch does use "cookies" to help make your experience more enjoyable. Our cookies contain data such as your username but will never include your password or any information that makes you personally identifiable. When you log into Carmooch we may collect data regarding the device you are using and also locational based information including your IP address. You can remove or block the use of cookies but this may impact your Carmooch experience.

3.0 Personal Information

If you do not want to display your personal information on your profile we suggest you do not add it. This includes profile photos, profile summary, etc. The Carmooch website will be in constant development. This means that settings, preferences and data will be changing all the time so we'd rather you hold onto the important stuff to save any troubles. If you want to share it though, go right ahead!

3.1 Information Connect

If you choose to share your personal information with a particular manufacturer that is the user's decision and Carmooch takes no responsibility for communications that occur outside of the Carmooch network. Any information supplied to third parties is done so with the consent of the user and by doing so the user agrees to have their information released.

3.2 Information Export

A user may view any of their personal information such as fuel and service data at any stage. Carmooch does not take responsibility from any legal stand point that the data provided is accurate. All data provided by a user is done so at the user's discretion and Carmooch cannot be held liable for the integrity of such data.

4.0 Contact

Carmooch reserves the right to contact users regarding their account information and any other relevant information. User's may also receive communications from manufacturers, car dealers and motoring publications regarding their latest promotions. A user can opt out of receiving such information by visiting their account settings.

5.0 User Content

Carmooch retains the right to maintain and remove any content a user may post onto the website at any point in time. Vehicle manufacturers retain the rights to maintain their pages and modify content where appropriate. User comments that are deemed inappropriate will be moved. At no point does Carmooch or its partners retain the right to modify a user's comments.

6.0 Promotion

Sometimes Carmooch will use an aggregation of data to help in promotional purposes. Carmooch will never release any information that will uniquely identify a single user other than what is already shared publicly by the user on the website.

7.0 Legal Obligations

If requested by a court or other means that has a plausible legal reasoning, Carmooch may disclose personal information as required to comply. If this situation occurs the user will notified but will not be able to stop the process of information being released to the relevant legal parties.

8.0 Your Account

You can deactivate and/or delete your Carmooch account at any stage. If you choose to do so information may be stored for a certain period of time in our back-ups. After a period of time has passed your account information may be removed completely. Should you wish to start using Carmooch again, you will need to sign up again and enter all of your information as if you were a new user.

If you violate our terms and conditions, we reserve the right to deactivate your account without notice. You will not be entitled to a refund or compensation of any kind. If you wish to take up the matter with Carmooch please do so via webmaster@carmooch.com
